Keyboard shortcuts

Every key that makes the Board quicker, then the few that work outside it. A toolbar button with a key names it in its tooltip.

Before you use a shortcut

Board keys work only while the Board has focus, never while you're typing in a panel, a note, or a shape. On a Mac, Cmd is the ⌘ (Command) key.

A key picks a tool, just like tapping its button.

Actions with their own key

@Add ReferenceOpens the reference picker at your pointer; what you choose lands there.
FAdd Board flagPlants a flag at your pointer.
/Board command menuOpens /spot and /snip at your pointer.
Ctrl/Cmd+KSearchOpens Search from anywhere in the Workspace, even while you're typing.
Shift+1Fit contentFrames everything on the current page, like the toolbar button.

Edit the selection

Most of these act on what you've selected. Undo and Redo cover your own edits, not Mesh's drawings; undo a drawing from its row in the chat.

Aligning needs two or more shapes selected; distributing needs three.

Zoom, pan, and move between pages

Each page keeps its own zoom and position. Next page on the last page makes a new one when that page has something on it.

Hold a key for precision

CtrlHold Ctrl while dragging to invert the current Snap to objects setting.
ShiftHold Shift for even angles when Straight angles is off.

Back out of anything

EscCloses a Board menu or card, clears the selection, or cancels a Spot or a Snip.
