The Board

Every Workspace has an infinite whiteboard, the Board, where you work things out by hand and Mesh draws to teach you.

One Board, behind everything

The Board sits behind the panels. Work with panels beside it, or give it the whole screen (Layout & search).

Draw and write

The toolbar along the bottom holds drawing, highlighting, text, arrows, shapes and sticky notes. Tap any button below to see what it does. Every key is on Keyboard shortcuts.

Try it. Tap any button for what it does and its key.

What goes on a page

  • Your own writing and drawing, and what Mesh draws, all yours to edit.
  • Pins: a Library item, image or video, open on the page.
  • Reference cards that link to anything in the Workspace (References).
  • Board flags: named spots you can jump back to.
  • Answer frames, where you work out an answer by hand with Answer on Board.

Pin your material

Pin to Board above an item's preview in Library, Images or Videos opens it on the page you're on, to read or watch beside your work; a PDF asks which pages. A pin stays tied to the saved item, and Unpin takes it off the page without deleting anything.

  • A pin locks once placed, so you can draw across it; unlock it from its header to move it.
  • Pin an item as often as you like; Pinned here above its preview lists every copy.
  • Notes and Practice sets don't pin: place a Reference card to one instead.

Pages

A Board can have many pages: one per lesson, chapter or problem set keeps it easy to read. Tap the page name at the left of the toolbar to see every page, add one, or give a page its background: Blank, Dots, Grid, Lines or Notebook. Each page keeps its own view. Deleting a page removes everything on it for good.

Tip:  Lost track of something? Fit content in the toolbar frames the page you're on; if it isn't there, it's on another page.
