Appearance

Appearance is where you pick the colors your content wears. Map, Notes, Library, Images, Videos, and Board flags each get one color that follows them everywhere. There is no light or dark theme to choose, and the rest of the interface keeps its own colors.

Six identities, six colors

Each of the five panels plus Board flags has one color you can change. Saved web pages don't get their own: they live in the Library, so they wear the Library color.

MapColors the Map's badge and every Topic Reference pill.
NotesColors Note badges, icons, and Reference pills.
LibraryColors files and saved web pages alike: badges, icons, and pills.
ImagesColors the badges and pills of uploads, captures, and generated pictures.
VideosColors your Videos' badges and pills.
Board flagsColors every flag anchor, badge, and Reference.

Pick a color

Each row in the Panel colors card is its own live preview: the panel badge and the Reference pill, already wearing the current color. Tap the color disc at the row's edge to open eight swatches, a Custom hex field, and your device's own color picker. A color too pale to read on a light surface is refused, so nothing you pick can hide its own label.

Panel colors

  • Changes save themselves a moment after you stop adjusting; the card then reads All changes saved.
  • Each popover names that color's default. Reset appears on any row you have changed, and Reset all restores all six.
  • Your colors apply everywhere at once, including menus, popovers, and filter chips.
