Layout & panels

The panels and bars around the Board are movable — dock them, float them, resize them, or clear them out of the way.

The Workspace frame

The Workspace is built around the Board — the whiteboard in the middle. The left edge opens your content, the right edge opens Mesh, and the Board's toolbar runs along the bottom.

The rails open the panels

The vertical button strips on the Workspace's left and right edges are called rails. Choose a button to open its panel; choose it again to close it.

Left rail

Holds your organization and content: Topics stays first, and Notes, Library, Images, Videos, and Practice drag into whatever order you like.

Right rail

Opens Mesh, your AI agent.

Topics

The Workspace's Topic tree and Workspace context.

Notes

Written pages with the full editor.

Library

PDFs, text, Markdown, and saved web pages.

Images

Uploads, pasted pictures, captures, and generated Images.

Videos

Saved YouTube links that play in their panel.

Practice

Flashcards, Quizzes, and saved Quiz Attempts.

Dock, float, and focus

A panel starts docked beside the Board; drag its inside edge to resize it. Fullscreen is a button in the header; open the header’s three-dot menu for Float panel, Dock panel, and Help. You can also drag the header to lift the panel over the Board.

Try it. Drag the panel header, or open its three-dot menu for Float panel and Dock panel; Fullscreen is the button beside the menu. Close the panel with X, then reopen it from the Notes rail button.

Reaction types

Navigation: Back and Forward revisit content you have opened — Navigation & search explains the trail.
Docs guide: Help in the panel menu opens its matching Docs page. You can hide help controls in Support; Open Docs in Settings stays.
Float or dock: Float panel lifts a panel over the Board; Dock panel returns it to its side. Both live in the header’s three-dot menu.
Fullscreen: Fills the work area with this panel so you can focus on it alone.
Close: Puts the panel away; reopen it and its layout and content are unchanged.

The sidebar menu inside each panel

Each panel has a sidebar menu for its items and controls. Hide Notes list at the top right collapses it to a slim strip on the left; pull the strip to bring it back, and the create and search actions stay on the strip. When space is tight, More list actions holds search, sort, filters, and Float or Dock while the create or add action stays visible.

Reaction types

The products tell you which kind you have. Balance by coefficients — never touch subscripts.

4 H and 2 O per side — balanced.

Everything works: search, sort, switch a note, drag the right edge to resize, float or dock the menu, or hide it.

Sort: Choose what orders the list. Each row shows its direction, and one tap flips it.
New or add: Creates that panel's kind of content with its own verb — New note, Add to Library, and so on — always the same green plus.
Filter: Where a panel offers filters, narrow the list to what you want to see — a type, a source, a Board page. Nothing chosen shows everything.
Float over content: Lay the sidebar menu over the content without shifting the page.
Dock beside content: Give the sidebar menu its own column beside the content.

Collapse the frame

Each edge of the frame can get out of your way on its own. You do not hide an edge by hand — you let it tuck away, and from then on it stays out of sight until you reach for it.

Try it. The five glowing buttons are the switches. Tap one and that piece tucks away; hover the handle it leaves at the edge to peek, or tap the handle to bring the piece back.

Top bar: the eye under its left end.
Full canvas: under its right end, all four at once.
Each rail: the eye at the bottom of the rail.
Toolbar: the eye at its right end.

One edge at a time: The top bar, each rail, and the Board toolbar each carry their own switch: Let the header tuck away on the top bar, and the matching one on the others.
Reach for it and it comes back: A tucked-away edge leaves a small handle with its switch riding on one end. Move onto the handle and the controls slide out, then tuck away when you leave.
All four at once: Enable full canvas mode at the top-right tucks the top bar, both rails, and the toolbar away together. Disable full canvas mode brings them all back.

Your layout settings are remembered

The Workspace remembers your left-rail order, panel widths, and frame-collapse choices.
This device remembers whether the sidebar menu is docked or floating, how wide it is, and each panel's sort choice.
Open panels, floating positions, and focus mode last for the current session.
