Commands

A Command is an instruction you save once and attach with a slash whenever you need it. It spares you retyping the same wording, and it never acts on its own.

Two built-ins send Board pictures

Built-in Commands

/boardBoard viewAttach what you currently see on the Board to your next message.
/snipBoard snipDrag a box around one part of the Board and attach exactly that part to your next message.
  • They come with Mesh Learning, ready in every Workspace, and can't be renamed, moved, or deleted.
  • Type the name in chat — or press / right on the Board — and choose it to take the picture.
  • Picking a different visual replaces the one you had staged.

Save an instruction by name

Type / in the message box or choose Commands (/) to open the Command menu. Search from the beginning of the slash name, with or without /; the title is display text only.

My Command
Available across Workspaces. Move one into a Workspace and it becomes local to that Workspace.
Workspace Command
Lives in this Workspace only. Move it to My Commands to use it across Workspaces.

Run command

Create and manage Commands

Just ask Mesh in the chat: “Save that as a /quiz-me command”. Mesh writes it, and asking again later is how you change one. New command in the Command menu only drafts that same request for you, so there's no form to fill in. The information button beside a saved Command opens its card to manage it.

  • Move to My Commands or Move to Workspace Commands switches its group.
  • Edit with Mesh drafts the change request — title, description, and instructions always change through that conversation.
  • Slash names use lowercase letters and numbers in hyphen-separated words; /board and /snip are taken.

Note:  Deleting is the one change Mesh can't make for you. That click is always yours.

Combine Commands in one message

A message can carry up to four saved Commands. They apply in the order shown; your own message can narrow or override them, and a later Command wins when two Commands conflict. When you send, the message keeps each Command as it read at that moment. Editing, renaming, moving, or deleting a saved Command later does not rewrite old messages.

When a send fails, trying again goes without the Commands, so attach them again yourself.
